Indeed, when a version of LEF-1 that is truncated in the β-catenin binding region (Δ56LEF-1) [23] was transiently transfected into N2a-m neuroblastoma cells in combination with TOPFlash, estradiol did not drive luciferase expression (Figure 6C), whereas N2a-m-mock transfected cells responded to estradiol as previously shown.
