Compared to medium alone controls, cells incubated with PHA or a pooled cocktail of established T cell reactive peptides from pathogens known to be present in the Thai population (CMV, EBV and influenza) showed strong IFN-γ responses which were inhibited in the presence of CsA (Figure 1A; P<0.0001, paired t-test). The gene discussed is IFNG; the disease is influenza.
