In the subset of the obesity-associated tumor/cancer analysis, we identified a significant association of the CDK4 IVS4-nt40 AA genotype with BMI ≥ 30 and cancer (P = 0.002, Table 5), and with BMI ≥ 30 and tumors/cancer (P = 0.007, Table 6). This evidence concerns the gene CDK4 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
