Ginestier et al. [23]analyzed the tumorigenicity of ALDEFLUOR-positive populations isolated from twometastatic and two primary invasive ductal carcinomas (three triple negativetumors—ER-negative,PR-negative, and HER2-negative—and oneER-positive, PR-positive, and HER2-negative tumor) that were transplanted intothe humanized cleared fat pad of immunodeficient mice, immediately aftersurgery with no previous cultivation. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is invasive ductal breast carcinoma.
