We found HLA-DQB1*0302 to be protective as well as HLA-DQB1*0301 but not associated with age, which is contrary to what was reported by Chaudhuri et al. [13] in 2000, where he reports two important negative associations for the development of breast cancer at an early age, both of HLA class II: DRB*11, which was found expressed in 35 controls and only in six cases (p < 0.0001). The gene discussed is HLA-DQB1; the disease is breast cancer.
