As the associated SNPs analyzed in a genome wide association scan (GWAS) [8], candidate-gene association study in MS [10] and T1D [13] were not the same [28] we considered interesting to test if the TID-associated SNPs in the IL2RA region [13] were also associated with multiple sclerosis (MS) in our cohort of MS patients. Here, IL2RA is linked to multiple sclerosis.
