In order to know if HLA-A24-restricted peptide-specific CTLs are induced from PBMCs of cancer patients, PBMCs were collected from HLA-A*2402-positive cancer patients (one breast cancer patient and one oral cancer patient), and stimulated in vitro with survivin-C58 peptide in the presence of autologous monocyte-derived DC or autologous PHA blasts. Here, BIRC5 is linked to cancer.
