MAP3K12 and breast cancer: Examination of the 50 top-ranked genes in the combination identified candidate tumor suppressors and/or oncogenes from the literature (DKK3 [64] and TFPI2 [65]), genes with variants that confer breast cancer risk (IGF1 [66]) and, notably, four genes (PDGFRA, PDGFRL, MAP3K12 and NTRK2) whose products participate in the MAPK signaling pathway, where known susceptibility genes also participate (FGFR2 and MAP3K1 [2-4]) (Figure 7, shows the results for the 50 top-ranked genes in the combined evidence ranking ordered by their lowest WGAS P value).
