All of the data presented to this point, and previous observations that PcG proteins are an integral part of the GATA-4 silencing machinery at the proximal promoter in undifferentiated Tera-2 cells in addition to colon cancer cells [38,45,46], now prompted us to investigate PcG occupancy throughout the locus. The gene discussed is GATA4; the disease is malignant colon neoplasm.
