The expression of Bax may be related with that of MAT2A and MAT2β, because Leptin was demonstrated to be mitogenic in human liver cancer cell lines HepG2 which was associated with increasing of MAT2A and MAT2β simultaneously[6] and Leptin has been proved to induce proliferation and anti-apoptosis in human hepatocarcinoma cells by up-regulating cyclin D1 and down-regulating Bax via a Janus kinase 2-linked pathway[38]. This evidence concerns the gene BAX and liver cancer.
