This was investigated by multiple regression analysis using the following markers for metabolic syndrome and noradrenaline-induced lipolysis together as regressors versus apoB100 as a dependent factor, age; r = −0.27, p = 0.018; waist: r = −0.35, p = 0.005; fasting plasma insulin: r = −0.36, p = 0.002; fasting plasma HDL cholesterol: r = −0.36, p = 0.002; fasting plasma triglycerides: r = −0.32; p = 0.003; systolic blood pressure: r = −0.26, p = 0.023; diastolic blood pressure: r = −0.24, p = 0.032. This evidence concerns the gene APOB and metabolic syndrome.
