Despite GAPDH was widely used in the past, its use as a reference gene has recently been challenged in the majority of tumor types, including melanoma [22], liver [23], bladder [24], renal cancer [25], prostate [26], gastroesophagic and pancreatic cancer [27], and colon adenocarcinoma [28].
