Recent lung cancer molecular profiling studies have employed a group of widely used endogenous control genes, such as GAPDH [11], beta-actin (ACTB) [12], TATA-binding protein (TBP) [4], 18s-rRNA [13], HMBS [5] and phenylalanine hydroxylase [14], for RT-PCR. The gene discussed is ACTB; the disease is lung carcinoma.
