The changes in VEGF and sVEGFR-2 plasma levels, the decrease in tumour blood flow and permeability and the increase in diastolic blood pressure were not predictive for the clinical outcome; there were no statistically significant differences in the change of biomarkers for patients who reached a progression-free survival of >3 months compared with those who stopped treatment during the first 3 months due to progressive disease. Here, VEGFA is linked to neoplasm.
