We identified variants in additional genes which showed gender-genotype interaction: CPB2 and coagulation factor XIII, A1 polypeptide (F13A1) conferred gender-specific risk in women for CHD, another variant in CPB2 conferred risk for CVD, and F5 for ischemic stroke; and for men, interleukin 6 (IL6) for CVD. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and coronary artery disorder.
