The expression pattern of MTA1 in normal and tumour tissues was analysed by RT-PCR and the data extends previously published findings, where MTA1 was shown to be over-expressed in prostate cancer cell lines, prostate cancer, renal cancer, gastric cancer, oesophageal cancer, and head and neck tumour tissues but only weakly expressed in normal tissues except the testis. The gene discussed is MTA1; the disease is head and neck neoplasm.
