In the overall, the PCA3 clinical parameters for PCa cell detection in the peripheral blood were: 35.0% of sensitivity (25 out of 71), and 81.0% of specificity (63 out of 78); however, it is important to emphasize that a positive result for PCa patients is not an indication of metastasis, and the PCA3 detection in BPH patients may indicate that they may have been misdiagnosed. Here, PCA3 is linked to benign prostatic hyperplasia.
