In preliminary experiments we evaluated recombinant human IL-18 at doses from 1 to 100 μg/mouse/day for anti-tumor effects in xenografted mice (data not shown), and 15 μg was chosen as a daily dose based on tolerability and efficacy, and because this dose is less than the equivalent maximum tolerated dose that has been established in monkeys and humans [25], [32]. The gene discussed is IL18; the disease is neoplasm.
