CYB5A and prostate carcinoma: Additionally, from the 263 genes implicated in prostate cancer that were screened, four (i.e., caspase-7, cdkn3, cytochrome b5 and protein kinase-C) were found to be highly expressed (i.e., >2-fold) in DNMT3b silenced cells as compared to the controls; among the genes which were up-regulated, expression of CDKN3 increased 6-fold while that of protein kinase-C was found to be 21-fold higher.
