As EphA2 is frequently overexpressed in pancreatic cancer (Duxbury et al, 2004; Mudali et al, 2006), and selective small molecule EphA2 inhibitors are not currently available, we investigated the therapeutic potential to target EphA2 by dasatinib in several pancreatic cancer cell lines as well as in BxPC-3 xenografts. This evidence concerns the gene EPHA2 and pancreatic neoplasm.
