EFNB2 and neuropathic pain: Kobayashi et al. (2007) found that expression of ephrinB2 in dorsal root ganglion neurons was enhanced by nerve injury, and EphB1 receptor expression was observed in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord of adult rat. Administration of ephrinB2 siRNA decreased expression of ephrinB2 and mechanical allodynia after spinal nerve crush. Song et al. (2008a) studied the expression of ephrinB1 and EphB1 in the dorsal root ganglia and spinal cord after chronic constriction injury (a model of neuropathic pain), dorsal rhizotomy or a combination of both.
