Mcl-1 is expressed in a fairly high percentage of prostate tumors [10-12], and the inhibition of Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK-mediated signals, and consequently of Mcl-1 expression, could therefore also be a key objective in the treatment of hormone-sensitive prostate cancer cells, as shown by Cavarretta et al [13].
