Figure 3 displays TFF3 distribution for the three groups of patients. In this regard, to obtain a graphical plot of the sensitivity vs specificity of TFF3 levels for detecting and to better discriminate G3-EEC from controls, ROC curves were used. Using a cutoff value of 752 ng ml−1, the sensitivity and specificity of serum TFF3 for discriminating EEC from NE were 56 and 85%, respectively (Table 3), whereas setting a cutoff value of 587 ng ml−1, the sensitivity and specificity of serum TFF3 for detecting EEC compared with EH were 71 and 77%, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene TFF3 and exstrophy-epispadias complex.
