IGHG3 and malaria: In the crude analysis, IgG1, IgG2 and IgG3 to MSP3, MSP119, GLURP and also IgG4 to MSP3, were associated with a reduced risk of clinical malaria (Table 3, 4), but after adjustment for age, only one of these variables, IgG1 to MSP119, remained significantly associated with malaria incidence (rate ratio 0.89 (95%CI 0.80, 0.99), P = 0.04, Table 4).
