The expression pattern of FGF10 and FGFR2 in cancerous tissue and the poor prognosis of patients with high FGFR2 expression in cancer cells indicate that a stromal cell–epithelial cell interaction through FGF10/FGFR2 signalling might induce the malignant properties of pancreatic cancer. Here, FGFR2 is linked to pancreatic neoplasm.
