Two recent reports have also implicated autoantigenic stimulation of B cells either in the genesis of a lymphoma that occurs in mice expressing a transgene for the TCL1 gene, and that resembles human B-CLL [41], or in the instance of DLBCL-like tumors that arose in Bcl-6 transgenic mice [43]. The gene discussed is BCL6; the disease is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
