Therefore, we investigated the association of the M235T polymorphism in the AGT gene (National Center for Biotechnology Information single nucleotide polymorphism cluster ID rs699) with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and CHD in a large population-based cohort of middle-aged Dutch women and conducted an updated meta-analysis of the available studies to clarify the role of the M235T polymorphism in CHD risk. The gene discussed is AGT; the disease is coronary artery disorder.
