Yasar et al. found a higher risk of myocardial infarction in individuals carrying the *2 or *3 variants of CYP2C9 [30], whereas Funk et al. [31] found that the *2 and *3 allele variants of CYP2C9 were associated with a lower risk of myocardial infarction in males (Odds Ratio 0.56), but not in females. Here, CYP2C9 is linked to myocardial infarction.
