Kawaguchi et al. [19], using pioglitazone in male Wistar ratsfed with a choline-deficient L-amino acid defined diet, which is an animal model of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) model, showedthat pioglitazone, at a concentration of 0.01% wt/wt,inhibited the formation of GSTp positive foci by a factor 2. Here, GSTP1 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
