Interestingly, administration of antioxidant (e.g. EUK-189 and NAC) to ATM-deficient mice lowers oxidative DNA, lipid, and protein damages, reduces cancer incidences, inhibits cerebellar Purkinje cell death, and partially reverses the neurological deficits and premature aging seen in these mice [73], [78]–[81].
