KLK3 and Familial prostate cancer: In 28 areas of England and Wales, using data collected from 1 December 2001 to 31 May 2002, we had estimated the annual rate of PSA testing by general practitioners (GPs) in men aged 45–84 years with no previous diagnosis of prostate cancer to be 6%, with the rate of asymptomatic testing being 2% (Melia et al, 2004).
