In studies of Caucasians, the haplotype encompassing the three SNPs: ERCC1 Asn118Asn, ASE-1 G-21A and RAI IVS1 A4364G was strongly associated to risk of post-menopausal breast cancer [2] and lung cancer [3] among women less than 55 years of age when diagnosed with their first cancer. This evidence concerns the gene PPP1R13L and lung cancer.
