These results are inagreement with observations of de Jong et al. [12], and Steeleet al. [15] studied T-cell responses to HPV 16 oncoproteins by measuring IFNγ release in women with low- and high-grade CIN andcervical carcinoma and found higher levels of T-cell responses in carcinomapatients compared to high-grade CIN cases. Here, IFNG is linked to cervical squamous intraepithelial neoplasia.
