Of interest, the RNA abundance of five genes were altered by pneumonia in both the mouse and human gene sets (Figures 1C and 3B): lactotransferrin (LTF), cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide (CAMP), phospholipid scramblase 1 (PLSCR1), inhibin beta A (INHBA), and hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase 15-(NAD) (HPGD). The gene discussed is CAMP; the disease is pneumonia.
