No abnormalities were found in markers of current inflammation and vasculitis, and in the following antibodies: anti-nuclear, anti-extractable nuclear antigens (anti-ribonucleic protein, anti-Smith, anti-SSA, anti SSB, anti Jo1, anti-Scl-70), anti-DNA, anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic (c-ANCA and p-ANCA), anti-cardiolipin, and anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase A. Nailfold capillaroscopy evidenced a reduced number of capillaries and an irregularity in pattern, consistent with past vasculitis. This evidence concerns the gene PRTN3 and vasculitis.
