In our microarray analysis of RNA from OCPs from TNF-transgenic (Tg) and wild-type (WT) mice, we found that VEGF-C expression is significantly increased in cells from TNF-Tg mice, suggesting that VEGF-C-mediated biologic events (for example, lymphangiogenesis) may be involved in the pathogenesis of arthritis. Here, TNF is linked to arthritic joint disease.
