By contrast, the lipid raft and caveolar uptake inhibitors methyl-β-cyclodextrin and filipin (Fig 4A) had little effect on uptake of either anti-CD19 or transferrin, in line with the lack of caveolin in B-cells (including Ramos, data not shown) and lymphomas (Fra et al, 1994) and the reported lack of redistribution of CD19 into lipid rafts upon antibody cross-linking (Petrie et al, 2000).
