Interestingly, strong nuclear LASP-1-positivity could be observed in about 29% of all breast carcinomas as well as in nuclei of epidermal basal cells (Figures 3A, 3B and 3C), whereas all other breast carcinoma nuclei were negative for LASP-1 and the cells only displayed perinuclear and cytosolic LASP-1 enrichment (Figure 3D). The gene discussed is LASP1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
