The subjects in the NAFLD group had a greater weight, body mass index, waist circumference, waist-to-hip ratio, body fat mass, body fat per cent, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, fasting glucose, fasting insulin, HOMA, HbA1c, uric acid, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), γ-glutamyltranspeptidase (GGT), hsCRP and RBP4 levels than control subjects. Here, RBP4 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
