Human Aur-A/STK15 is located at chromosome 20q13.2, which is commonly amplified in various cancers, including breast, colon, bladder, ovarian, pancreatic and head and neck cancers [4]–[9], and the levels of Aur-A mRNA and protein are also increased in those tumors [10]–[14].
