IL17A and neoplasm: Recent studies demonstrated a critical role for the IL-23/IL-17 pathway in T-cell mediated colitis in different mouse models [21], [22], [23], in tumour immunity as demonstrated in human tumor tissues and cancer cell lines as well as in knockout mice [24], [25], and in the development of autoimmune diseases including autoimmune encephalomyelitis in a mouse model [26] and in patients with multiple sclerosis [27].
