Of the 43 patients that had an MUC-1 intensity close to normal tissue (Figures 1 and 2) (102.5–106), three (7%) died of prostate cancer, compared with 34 (23%) of the 152 patients that deviated from the normal MUC-1 intensity (Figure 2 and 3).
