Our previous studies showed that the expression of Lzts1 protein was undetectable or markedly reduced in 44% (39/88 cases) of primary gastric cancer with significant correlation to diffuse histotype (P < 0.001) [5], in 62% (37/60 cases) of primary transitional cell carcinoma of bladder with significant correlation to histopathological tumor grade (P < 0.005) [6], and in 64% (7/11 cases) of Bellini duct carcinoma [7]. This evidence concerns the gene LZTS1 and gastric cancer.
