MET and neoplasm: In vivo, the invasive-growth programming from c-MET/HGF signalling is thought to be an integrated function of a variety of biological responses such as cell proliferation and survival, cell dissociation/scattering, motility, induction of cell polarity, angiogenesis, wound healing, tissue regeneration, invasion, and tumour metastasis (Stella and Comoglio, 1999; Comoglio, 2001; Comoglio and Trusolino, 2002; Maulik et al, 2002c; Ma et al, 2003b).
