CD36 and cancer: It is not surprising that many of the signature genes (BOP1, KIAA0101, CCT3, ARPC1B, CKAP4, ALDH1A1, CD36, CLEC3B, TEK, CBX7) have been reported to be associated with specific types of cancer in the literature and some other genes (NME1, TYMS, POSTN, FOXM1, HMGA1, DNMT1, KIF14, CXCL12, SELP) have been previously found to be associated with a variety of distinct human cancer types.
