IGF2 and colonic neoplasm: This isomer has also been reported to decrease cell growth due to a decrease in the secretion of insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II) in Caco-2 colon cancer cells (Kim et al., 2002a), and to cause a decrease of expression of the oncogene ErbB3 in HT-29 human colon cancer cells (Cho et al., 2005).
