APC, CDH13, CRABP1, HOXA9, HOXB5, RASSF1A, and SCGB3A1 were found to be hypermethylated both in the primary tumours and in ovarian cancer cell lines, whereas ADAMTS1 and MGMT were hypermethylated only among cell lines. The gene discussed is RASSF1; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
