In those reports, the selective COX-2 inhibitor NS-398 was found to downregulate Bcl-2 in LNCaP prostate cancer cells [19]; another COX-2 inhibitor, celecoxib, downregulated Bcl-2 in K562 chronic myeloid leukemia cells [20] and in MPP89 malignant mesothelioma cells [21].
