In native PAGE (not shown), the diabetic children had also decreased plasma levels of ceruloplasmin, ceruloglobulin and retinol binding protein (RBP), which are the carrier proteins for copper and vitamin A, respectively and also observed the decreased levels of proteins – albumin, transferrin, and heptoglobulins and variable GC globulin fractions in IDDM compared to normal healthy controls.
