Consistent with our finding, a recent study by Chien et al.[20] showed that CTGF suppressed lung cancer cell growth by induction of p53, as well as, by inhibition of insulin-like growth factor-I dependent Akt phosphorylation and epidermal growth factor-dependent extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 phosphorylation. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and lung carcinoma.
