As continuous variables, IL-6 (p = 0.02), CRP (p = 0.03), MMP-9 (p = 0.004), D-dimer (p < 0.001), LDL (p = 0.03), von Willebrand factor (p = 0.10), and factor VIII activity (p = 0.10) were positively associated with stroke, whereas HDL-3 was inversely associated (p = 0.02) with stroke.
